HAVEN

The clients for this project are Kateryna Vozyanova, owner of "Indposhiv," and her husband Andrii. They had previously collaborated with our architectural studio, but this particular commission aimed to create both the architecture and interior design of their home. The couple sought a spacious house that would harmoniously blend with the natural surroundings, reflecting their modern lifestyle and aesthetic preferences. The primary task was to design a spacious, contemporary countryside home that seamlessly integrates with the natural landscape of the tranquil village of Lebedivka, Kyiv region. The project required a home that feels open and inviting without appearing too vast and empty. Key requirements included creating a functional and aesthetically pleasing living space that offers both privacy and a connection to nature.

The concept for "Haven" was inspired by the desire to merge elegance with nature. The architectural team, led by Ihor Martin and Olga Novikova, decided to use wooden cladding with a standing seam for both the interior and exterior, which provides the house with a natural warmth and ensures it blends seamlessly with the surrounding forested landscape. The design aimed to create a feeling of openness within the home, with large windows and sliding doors that blur the line between indoor and outdoor spaces, maximizing the enjoyment of the beautiful surroundings. The house spans 216 square meters and includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a playroom, a small technical kitchen, and a main area that combines the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The spacious living room serves as the heart of the home, ideal for hosting guests and family gatherings. The kitchen island, equipped with a sink and built-in stovetop with an integrated extractor, not only functions as a cooking area but also as a communal space for socializing. One of the most popular features among the residents is the fireplace, which becomes a central gathering spot during winter. Special attention was given to the design of the staircase, which elegantly integrates into the living room's interior. Large windows with sliding doors allow for maximum enjoyment of nature during warmer months, seamlessly connecting the interior and exterior spaces.

The realization of the "Haven" project involved overcoming challenges related to the building site and integrating the house into the natural environment. The wooden cladding with standing seams provided a natural aesthetic that enhanced the home's connection to its surroundings. The large windows and sliding doors not only brought in abundant natural light but also offered expansive views of the landscape. The materials used, such as high-quality wood and innovative design elements, ensured that the house is both durable and visually appealing. High-quality materials from leading brands were used throughout the project. The wooden cladding from Woodline provided a natural and warm appearance, harmonizing with the surrounding forest. The standing seam roof from Ruukki offered a modern look and long-lasting weather protection. Large aluminum windows from Aluplast ensured excellent thermal insulation and reliability, enhancing the home's energy efficiency.

The "Haven" project is more than just a house; it is a true sanctuary in nature, where comfort and functionality, design and practicality come together. This architectural project, completed in 2020, not only reflects the style and habits of its owners but also sets a new standard for contemporary countryside living, offering inspiration for future projects in residential design. "Project Haven" embodies the perfect harmony between architecture and nature, style and convenience, making it an exemplary model of modern living in a natural setting.
