The clients—a couple with two same-gender children—chose this project for their cozy home. They are fans of Japanese minimalism and functionality, often traveling to Japan and desiring to create an atmosphere of simplicity and harmony in their home. The family values order and practicality, disliking bright colors, glossy surfaces, and imitation natural materials. They aimed to achieve maximum functionality and aesthetic purity in each room. The main task was to create a space that combines restrained style and functionality while adhering to the planned budget. It was important to find a balance between the client's desire for ample storage space and the client's wish to use natural materials. The designers had to organize the space so that each element had its purpose and harmoniously blended with others.

The project idea was inspired by Japanese minimalism and the pursuit of simplicity and functionality. The designers decided to create an interior that reflects clean geometric shapes, a monochrome color palette, and the use of natural materials. The primary concept was to achieve elegant simplicity that combines modern aesthetics and comfort for family life. The project planning included logical room placement for maximum convenience and functionality. The house was organized with three bedrooms, a cozy living room with a kitchen, and three bathrooms. To minimize the use of separate cabinets, four walk-in closets were provided. Natural lighting with large windows creates a sense of open space and connection with the surroundings. The stone staircase with greenery adds an accent to the interior and emphasizes the project's ecological focus.

Several interesting challenges were addressed during the project's implementation. Notably, creating a stone staircase with greenery required a special approach to lighting, involving the use of plant-friendly lamps in poorly lit areas. Solutions were also found to combine soft shades of furniture, walls, and floors, making the interior more welcoming and warm. Despite different design solutions in each room, the interior turned out to be cohesive and consistent.

High-quality natural materials were used to implement the project. Key material brands included Ferm Living, which supplied Rico rounded chairs and Insert coffee tables, and LUCEPLAN with the Stochastic pendant light. The first-floor walls were decorated with veneered panels in walnut texture, which was also used for the kitchen and island fronts. Stone countertops for the kitchen and island became unifying design elements.
