Intriguing task in the Villa Rock project was to integrate all aspects of family life into a small space while preserving a sense of openness and unity with the surroundings. To achieve this, we incorporated a large panoramic window with sliding doors, seamlessly connecting the living space with the internal courtyard. Now, guests of the apartment hotel can enjoy the convenience of the space while feeling the comfort combined with the beauty of the island. The organically integrated space into the natural environment — isn’t it the best example of intelligent design?
The Villa M-Rock project is inspired by the sunny vibrations of Indonesia, combined with the unique features of this locality. Despite the dense development of this area and the small plot size, we managed to design two cozy open courtyards. One small courtyard extends from the bedroom, while the other features a pool and a relaxation area. In the interior design, we merged modern furniture with traditional natural materials native to this island. For instance, natural stone masonry on the walls; ceilings with exposed beams and bamboo mesh between them; a sink carved from a solid stone; and a lamp made of bamboo. With a palette of beige, milky, and light brown colors, this interior radiates tranquility and comfort.
